Make The Connection…

Do you ever feel as if you are disconnected from yourself and are working for the wrong reasons? Are you looking for direction to find out what is truly important for your life? If so, I want to share with you a meditation book that I always keep on my coffee table. The book is called “Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy”, written by Sarah Ban Breathnach. This book contains 12 months of pure inspiration for the world-weary soul. The author guides the reader through the year using 6 basic concepts. These concepts are; Gratitude, Simplicity, Order, Harmony, Beauty and Joy. Along the way, the author recommends basic tools and ideas to help each reader discover his or her own authentic self. Each tool is designed to help make the connection with memories and gifts to enrich the journey of life and make life feel truly worthwhile. This book and Sarah Ban Breathnach’s ideas have made a huge impact in my own life! (I am currently re-reading it for the 4th time and continue to learn something new almost every day.) “Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy” can be purchased on-line and in bookstores world-wide.

The following is a favorite quote from ‘Simple Abundance” that I believe explains the essence of what is missing for many of today’s women,

“Many women today feel a sadness we cannot name. Though we accomplish much of what we set out to do, we sense that something is missing in our lives and-fruitlessly-search “out there” for the answers. What’s often wrong is that we are disconnected from an authentic sense of self.”                                                                                -Emily Hancock

Join me (via The Simple Heart of Life) as I continue to uncover the secrets to living a truly abundant and authentic life . And don’t forget to pick up a copy of “Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy.”
